Virginia 1st Pumpkin Festival
| Attractions include:
An opening night on Friday 26th October with a candlelit display of carved pumpkins in the main street, live music and street entertainers.
Saturday will see an outdoor organic/farm-fresh food market and indoor craft market, a Pumpkin Olympics, childrens' fancy dress competition and party, followed by evening entertainment with live music and a barn dance.
Sunday's highlights will include a charity football match, a weigh-in of Ireland's heaviest pumpkins competing for a 1,000 Euro prize and a procession of the giant pumpkins through the town down to Lough Ramor, where the festival will literally close with a bang as visitors will watch a firework display at the lakeshore with live music and food.
